First off—thank you. Whether you followed us from the beginning or just discovered the wild world of Chef Belt Rankings, we’re grateful you joined us on this delicious journey.
Chef Belt Rankings started as a passion project between my wife and me—two food-obsessed, competition-show-bingeing nerds who wanted to track and celebrate the amazing chefs lighting up our screens. We built a point system, watched an unholy number of episodes, debated rankings late into the night, and launched a site that showcased just how fiercely talented these culinary warriors really are.
From crowning Chef Sam Quintero as our first champion, to following Alex Guarnaschelli’s rise, Bobby Flay’s comeback, and the constant drama of “Alex vs. America”—we’ve had a blast creating this with all the passion of a last-minute dessert round on Chopped.
But just like any great menu, seasons change. Our rankings are now outdated, our tastes (and projects) have shifted, and we’re cooking up something new.
🧾 Penny is still logging shows—because she’s unstoppable like that—but we’re pressing pause on updating the leaderboard or building new features… for now.
👉 Stay tuned. We’ve got new ideas simmering, new platforms brewing, and we’re excited to bring you into our next creation when it’s ready to plate.
