Day 25: “Greenhouse Crisis—Banding Together”

🎲GAME/BLOG INTRODUCTION
Welcome once again, travelers, to Tracks of Terror: The Last Train to Save Your Butt. I’m Barnabas, caught in a creeping greenhouse of mutated vines, uncertain survivors, and a looming decision about whether we stick together—or fracture completely. Yesterday, I feared R.C. and Penny might split from the group… but surprisingly, they both decided to Help. Let’s see how that changes our fate.

Day 25: “Greenhouse Crisis—Banding Together”

Where We Left Off

  • A tangle of venomous vines climbs the greenhouse walls, threatening to snuff out anyone who lingers.
  • R.C. and Penny, on the brink of walking away, have instead chosen to rally behind the weaker survivors, halting any talk of abandoning them.
  • Time is running short. The overhead lights flicker, and the next car door stands ajar, beckoning us forward with uncertain horrors.

R.C. & Penny Both Choose ‘Help’

  1. R.C.
    • Despite his frustration and lingering injuries, R.C. steps up to one of the trembling survivors. “Look,” he growls softly, “I’m not about to let you get strangled by a bunch of weeds. Let’s get you moving.”
    • He offers a sturdy shoulder, helping an older man who’s limping from a nasty fall. “Stay close to me, and do exactly what I say,” R.C. commands, scanning the vines for sudden movement.
  2. Penny
    • On the other side of the group, Penny kneels beside a terrified woman clutching at a makeshift bandage around her calf. “You can do this,” Penny urges, gently prying the woman’s hands away to check the wound.
    • Swiftly re-tying the cloth, Penny’s gaze flickers to the creeping plants overhead. “We move as one, okay? If something grabs you, call out. We’ll cut you free.” She helps the woman to her feet.

The Result: A Moment of Solidarity

I watch, relieved, as R.C. and Penny practically take command, corralling the frightened survivors into a small cluster. Some look ashamed of their earlier panic. Others breathe shaky sighs of relief, grateful not to be abandoned. We might still be in terrible danger, but at least we’re facing it together.

Subtle Clue: The hiss from the irrigation lines intensifies, pumping more suspicious green fluid into the planters. The overhead glass rattles with the train’s motion, cracks spiderwebbing across the panels. One good jolt, and we might face a rain of broken glass and toxic sludge.

THE SCENE: ESCAPING THE GREENHOUSE

With the survivors gathered, we start inching toward the next car’s threshold. Vines swirl across the floor, but R.C. leads the front, machete (or crowbar) in hand, hacking aside stray creepers. Penny guards the rear, urging the slowest folks forward. I do my best to scan for any new tangles overhead.

A rumble shudders through the train—whether from the tracks or a collision further ahead is anyone’s guess. The lights blink rapidly. We have no choice but to press on or risk being overtaken.

Your Five Moves (Now, With a Team Focus)

As we wrangle survivors and fight for every step, how do you personally navigate this precarious escape?

  1. Fight – Take point, slashing or burning any vine that strays too close to the group. Keep them off your teammates.
  2. Sneak – Quietly guide stragglers through gaps in the vegetation, minimizing direct confrontation.
  3. Run – Encourage everyone to pick up the pace, sprinting en masse for the next car before the greenhouse floors turn into a lethal net.
  4. Fix – Attempt to jam or shut down the irrigation system on the way out, buying the group extra time and preventing further vine growth.
  5. Help – Double down on aiding the slowest or most wounded survivors, ensuring no one gets left behind in the scramble.

CLIFFHANGER: A UNITED FRONT—FOR NOW

Thanks to R.C. and Penny’s shift in heart, we have a renewed sense of teamwork. But the greenhouse isn’t done with us yet, and the next car could be another fresh hell. Tomorrow, we’ll see if our camaraderie holds up under pressure—or if the vines claim a few more victims before we make it out.

Stay strong, survivors. Each choice might be the one that saves a life—or loses one.
