🎲GAME/BLOG INTRODUCTION
Welcome once more to Tracks of Terror, your daily dose of undead mayhem and death-defying stunts. Yesterday, you guessed how I might survive a burning, smoke-choked train car. Today, I’ll reveal which choice actually kept me from going up in flames—and the nightmarish ends I avoided by not picking the others.
🎁 HOW IT WORKS
As always, each train car offers me five possible actions: Fight ⚔️, Sneak 👣, Improvise 🛠️, Persuade 🗣️, or Loot 🔍. Only one lets me live. The next day, I reveal the winning move and how the others would have spelled certain doom. In the end, the player with the most correct guesses wins a mystery prize—plus, everyone who participates in these guesses is entered into loot box drawings, free of charge. It’s basically a little bonus for cheering me on while I try not to die horribly.
🦠 BACKSTORY REMINDER
For the newcomers: My city fell to a swift and vicious undead outbreak. I fled onto a runaway train with no crew, no plan, and way too many zombies on board. Each railcar is like a different layer of hell, and I’m trying to reach the locomotive—hopefully to stop this rampaging nightmare before it’s too late. Strap in, folks!
Day 3: “The Collapsed Corridor”
What Worked Yesterday (REVEAL)
From Day 2’s fiery nightmare, “The Burning Car,” my only successful option was:
Improvise 🛠️
Amid the swirling smoke and lapping flames, I managed to scrounge a half-busted metal panel and a crumpled jacket from the debris. Using the panel as a makeshift shield and dousing part of the jacket in the remnants of a spilled water bottle, I cleared enough of the fire to squeeze through. The heat scorched my arms, and I choked on ash the entire way, but the plan worked—barely.
When I finally stumbled through the door, my skin felt like it was cooking, and my lungs burned from all the smoke, but I was alive… for now.
How the Other 4 Would Have Failed
- Fight ⚔️
No sword or baseball bat in the world can slice through an inferno. Charging the flames head-on would’ve left me with third-degree burns in seconds… or worse, choking on my own smoke-filled lungs while the train kept barreling forward. - Sneak 👣
Sneaking doesn’t do much when an entire train car is on fire. I’d have tried to tiptoe around flames and collapsing floor panels, only to plunge through a weakened section or be caught by a sudden explosion of sparks. No stealth can save you from a flashover. - Persuade 🗣️
Calling out to potential survivors? The only thing I’d find is a torrent of burning debris or possibly a panicked, half-baked zombie around the corner. Yelling in a burning car is a great way to waste oxygen… and your last breath. - Loot 🔍
Rifling through scorched luggage for a fire extinguisher or water jug? It would’ve eaten up precious seconds. Meanwhile, the ceiling was caving in, the flames raging hotter by the second. Even if I found something, I’d likely be pinned or overcome by smoke before I could use it.
THE SCENE: ENTER THE COLLAPSED CORRIDOR
Stepping into the next car, I find the once-spacious hallway completely mangled by some catastrophic jolt. The walls are twisted in on themselves, forming a narrow crawlspace of bent metal and broken glass. It’s dimly lit by emergency lighting that flickers in and out, casting dancing shadows along the debris. Sparks shower from frayed wires overhead.
I can’t tell if there’s something alive—or undead—on the other side, but eerie moans echo through the cramped passage. Blood spatters on the wall indicate somebody (or something) got dragged across these jagged edges. The air feels stale and claustrophobic, and every step threatens to shift the precarious wreckage. One wrong move, and this corridor might collapse entirely… possibly with me in it.

The only way forward is through. How do I tackle a dangerously narrow passage with possible undead lurking beyond?
- Fight ⚔️ – Force your way through, clearing any threats with brute strength or a weapon in hand.
- Sneak 👣 – Crawl slowly, silently through the debris to avoid drawing attention and shifting metal.
- Improvise 🛠️ – Try to stabilize the collapsed walls or create a safer path using available scraps.
- Persuade 🗣️ – Call out in hopes of finding (and calming) any survivors—or scaring off threats.
- Loot 🔍 – Scavenge the debris pile for tools, weapons, or anything that could help brace the tunnel.
🔥 CLIFFHANGER: WILL THE CORRIDOR SWALLOW ME WHOLE?
This twisted passage is practically a deathtrap—one loud noise or sudden jolt, and the whole thing could come crashing down. Tomorrow, we’ll find out which choice keeps me in one piece… and which four would’ve turned this corridor into my tomb.
