🎲GAME/BLOG INTRODUCTION
Welcome back, resilient survivors, to another day aboard Tracks of Terror: The Last Train to Save Your Butt. I’m Barnabas, reporting that after countless battles—and a near meltdown with EmergenTek’s “unkillable” subject—our group is finally stepping away from the ice-cold horrors of Car 14.
R.C. and Penny both decided to Persuade everyone to unify, urging calm and cooperation so we could move on without leaving stragglers. Thanks to their level-headed rallying, we’re free of that frigid lab… but we’re also trudging right into the next unknown car, bracing for new terrors that might lurk within.
A NEW MOVE SET
From this point forward, we’re shifting to five fresh actions for each day’s survival:
- Fight – Direct confrontation, weapons out, no mercy.
- Sneak – Stick to shadows and silence, slipping by threats unseen.
- Run – Sometimes, the best option is to bolt before it’s too late.
- Fix – Tinker with the environment, repair or rig systems to your advantage.
- Help – Rally, heal, or assist other survivors, uniting everyone against the apocalypse.
Day 21: “The Overgrown Greenhouse Car”
The Scene
After prying open the battered hatch that leads beyond Car 14, we find ourselves in an unexpected oasis—or so it first appears. Car 15 (assuming numbering holds) is a sprawling greenhouse compartment, complete with tall glass panels overhead. Dim emergency lights cast a sickly glow on rows of mutated plants. Thick vines droop from the rafters, and we spot spiky buds that could be carnivorous in nature—who knows what EmergenTek’s been cooking up here.
A strange humidity hits us in the face, warm and stifling. The air smells of wet moss and rotted foliage, so pungent it’s tough not to gag. Occasionally, we catch a faint rustling from deeper in the vegetation… but whether it’s just the wind or some new monstrous specimen is anyone’s guess.
Car Layout:
- Rows of planters, many overturned, with vines snaking across the floor.
- A cracked glass wall in one corner, letting occasional bursts of outside air seep in.
- Overhead irrigation sprayers that drip a greenish liquid—possibly fertilizer, possibly something more sinister.
- Flickering lights and a half-functional climate control console at the far end.
Group Status
- R.C. (Worn but upright): Still bandaged from his run-in with the regenerating monster. He’s edgy, scanning the vines with suspicion, but he’s ready to rally folks if needed.
- Penny (Determined but exhausted): Keeping close watch on the group’s more vulnerable survivors. She’s relieved we’re out of Car 14’s deep freeze but already wary of these mutated plants.
- Other survivors mill around, uncertain whether this environment is safer or ten times worse.
OUR FIVE NEW CHOICES
Which action do you personally take in this humid, overgrown greenhouse car?
- Fight – Take a proactive stance: slash or burn vines before they can strangle us. Better to root out threats early than be ambushed.
- Sneak – Tread carefully between the planters, keeping low and quiet in case something hungry is lurking among the leaves.
- Run – Sprint straight to the far side, smashing through vines or pushing aside plant life, hoping speed beats whatever’s waiting.
- Fix – Try to repair or override the greenhouse’s climate controls, irrigation lines, or lighting. Maybe you can shut down whatever is causing these plants to mutate—or use it to your advantage.
- Help – Focus on calming and guiding the survivors. Some are wounded, scared, or just exhausted. Ensuring no one gets left behind might be the difference between life and death.

CLIFFHANGER: WHAT LURKS AMONG THE LEAVES?
A strange hush falls over the greenhouse, broken only by the drip-drip of suspicious fluid from overhead sprayers. Vines creep underfoot, threatening to ensnare the unwary. Tomorrow, we’ll see if we can traverse this botanically twisted labyrinth or become fertilizer for EmergenTek’s next experiment.
Stay vigilant, survivors. Each new car on this damned train is another chance to lose everything—or find the key to true survival.
Run.
