🎲GAME/BLOG INTRODUCTION
Welcome back, steadfast survivors, to Tracks of Terror: The Last Train to Save Your Butt. I’m Barnabas, standing in the icy remains of Car 14, where our once-unstoppable monster now lies frozen… but not necessarily dead. Yesterday, we managed to encase it in a frigid trap, buying ourselves a brief reprieve. Now, both Penny and R.C. have one thing on their minds: Fight—finish off this abomination before it thaws.
🦠 BACKSTORY REMINDER
Our original train wrecked in a zombie-infested disaster, and we jumped onto this second locomotive. Deep inside EmergenTek’s Car 14, we discovered grotesque “subjects” that don’t go down easy. We froze the latest regenerating beast with a supercharged cryo system. But time is ticking, and if it breaks free, we’ll be right back where we started—only weaker and more desperate than before.
Day 19: “Car 14—The Final Blow?”
Individual Choices: R.C. and Penny Both Choose Fight ⚔️
- R.C.: Adrenaline (and Catalyst #4 serum) still courses through his veins. Though battered and bleeding, he refuses to let the monster get a second wind. “No more half measures,” he growls.
- Penny: Weapon in hand—be it a stun baton, pistol, or crowbar—she’s done waiting. “We hack it to pieces now or die trying,” she declares, eyes locked on the motionless, ice-encased figure.
How Their Dual Attack Unfolds
- R.C.’s Assault
- Ignoring his injuries, he limps forward, raising whatever blade he’s found (machete, crowbar, or a makeshift axe from broken lab parts).
- With a primal shout, he smashes into the frozen shell, chipping away large chunks of ice—and necrotic flesh beneath it.
- The monstrous subject twitches, an arm lurching upward in a reflex motion, but it can’t quite break the thick frost yet. R.C. seizes the chance, driving his blade deeper.
- Penny’s Precision
- While R.C. goes brute force, Penny circles behind the half-frozen torso. Any slight crack or weakness in the ice, she slams her baton or crowbar in to widen it, fracturing the monster’s limbs.
- She fires a point-blank shot into its skull (if she’s still got a bullet), sending shards of bone and ice scattering.
- A sickening hiss of escaping air or fluid suggests they’ve torn something vital—if a creature like this even has vitals.
Outcome: Is It Truly Dead?
- Together, R.C. and Penny reduce the regenerator’s top half to something that looks… well, less than animate. Frozen chunks of flesh litter the chamber, twitching feebly.
- Yet greenish-black ichor seeps from the stumps. The muscle fibers continue to wriggle, possibly searching for pieces to reattach. It’s repulsive, unnatural, and sends a shiver down every spine.
- Penny stomps on a cluster of writhing tissue, grinding it underfoot until it’s mashed into icy pulp. R.C. slumps to one knee, panting, but victorious for now.
- Several survivors keep their distance, traumatized by the sight. The question lingers: if any piece of that creature remains able to regenerate, are we just staving off the inevitable?
Subtle Clue: One of the lab’s monitors—barely functional—shows a blinking reading: “Cell Regeneration 10%—ERR: Tissue Fragmentation”. Could be a sign that the monster is partially “alive” but can’t coordinate a comeback. Or it might be a countdown to the next horrific re-fusion.
THE SCENE: SILENCE AMIDST THE ICE
At last, the monstrous figure ceases thrashing. Car 14 lies in ruins—cryo vents pumping cold vapor, wires sparking overhead, and debris scattered everywhere. R.C. leans against a console, half-conscious, while Penny stands guard over the shredded remains, crowbar slick with gore and frost.
For the first time in a while, it’s quiet. No moaning undead, no roaring experiment. Just the slow drip of melting ice and the wary breathing of survivors.

We’ve beaten the regenerator—at least physically. How do you personally handle the aftermath?
- Fight ⚔️ – Keep swinging until there’s zero trace of its flesh. Make absolutely sure nothing remains to reanimate.
- Sneak 👣 – Slip away from the carnage, letting others do cleanup while you scout the rest of the train for new threats (or a safer spot).
- Improvise 🛠️ – Attempt to incinerate or jettison the remains. Maybe rig the floor-release again, so no leftover chunk can re-form.
- Persuade 🗣️ – Rally everyone to bury old grudges, regroup, and decide whether Car 14 is safe to lock down or if we abandon it entirely.
- Loot 🔍 – Scour the lab for final intel or gear—especially anything that could confirm the monster’s permanent demise.
🔥 CLIFFHANGER: END OF THE LINE OR NEW BEGINNING?
With the abomination apparently defeated, Car 14 might be ours—though battered, blood-soaked, and freezing. Tomorrow, we’ll see if this truly marks our victory… or if EmergenTek’s twisted secrets still have more in store.
Stay vigilant, survivors. Sometimes the quiet after a storm hides the greatest danger.
